When Piotr (Peter) Pietrzyk first started his career, he was fascinated by the potential of wireless communication to change industries and society at large. This passion led him to study telecommunications at Wroclaw University of Technology and conduct groundbreaking R&D work at IMEC in Belgium, focusing on future connectivity technologies. His work in spectrum sharing and spectrum sensing—innovative fields that would become the cornerstone of the wireless revolution—set the stage for his leadership in the wireless space.
As he moved from academic research into the industry, Piotr's career blossomed. He worked with global tech leaders, leading business development initiatives at IS-Wireless, where he spearheaded the company's entry into 4G and 5G. He later managed strategic partnerships across Central and Eastern Europe at Nutaq, where he achieved exceptional growth and expanded the company’s footprint in emerging markets across the EMEA region.
Piotr's visionary approach to technology led him to found 5G-Courses.com (now 6G Academy) together with Prof. Mischa Dohler (now, VP of Emerging Tech, Ericsson) in 2016. His aim? To prepare professionals for the future of wireless communication. Today, 6G Academy has trained over 100,000 professionals worldwide, making cutting-edge knowledge accessible and actionable. From spectrum innovation to 5G, IoT, and beyond, Piotr’s academy is shaping the next generation of connectivity experts.
But Piotr’s impact doesn't stop there. He serves as an advisor to NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator (DIANA), where he mentors startups working on breakthrough defense technologies, helping them stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
